  • 1. Who were some artists that influenced you in the 90's & early 2000's?

Rap: Dr. Dre, 2 Pac, Snoop Dogg, Nate Dogg, E-40, Mac Dre, Too Short, C-Bo.

R&B: R. Kelly, Jodeci, Ginuwine, 112, Usher, Innerlude, Kai, DnH.

  • 2. What was the first job you had and what did you learn from it?

My first "under the table" job was working at my homie's family owned Quiznos. We would do everything from dancing on the corner with a sign to making sandwiches. I feel like I didnt really learn much from that job because we would always just clown around. My first official job was as a Sprint cellphone salesman. This is where I learned to be a hustla! I learned to get out of my comfort zone and not be afraid to approach people, how to talk to people, and how to set a goal and do everything I could to reach it.

  • 3. 10 years ago, what were you doing and did you see yourself being who you are today?

10 years ago I graduated high school and I was doing exactly the same thing I am doing today: music. I was writing, producing, and engineering all my music. I also had a whole team doing the same thing and we were and still go by JZP (Junglezone Productions). I always knew I wasn't ever going to stop making music but I didn't think I'd be so addicted to it. My passion for music now is at its strongest than it's ever been.

  • 4. What was your favorite cartoon and why?

Growing up my favorite cartoon was Dragonball Z! I watched it every day on Cartoon Network. It was my favorite cartoon because everything was dope: the story, the drawings, the fight scenes, everything.

  • 5. What was your AIM screenames?

I forgot my very first one but it was hella stupid haha something to do with "booty". I eventually changed it to "theycallme_big_russ".

  • 6. If you could give yourself advice knowing what you know now, what would it be?

I would tell myself to pursue my music career earlier. I always wanted to go hard with my music but I wanted to give myself a safety net/plan B so I went to college right after high school. As soon as I graduated with my bachelors, I switched back to my music grind and everything kinda started happening from there. I just wish I started really pursing my music career earlier.
