  • 1. Who were some artists that influenced you in the 90's & early 2000's?

- Tupac, Ice Cube, Eminem, Nas, X-Raided were influential to me because they were those in the streets, real life true story tellers. They gave you that visual wordplay, and reported what was really happening in the streets. That "Reality Rap".

- Mac Dre, Too Short, E-40, Snoop Dogg, & SugaFree. They were like my O.G. Pimped out Uncles who laced me up with game, and taught us all about the "izm".

- Dr. Dre., C-Bo, Dogg Pound, DJ Quick. They had that authentic West Coast sound that will always be relevant. And guaranteed to keep you grooving.

- Outkast, UGK, Master P (NoLimit Records) They had that down south smoothe sound, that made you wanna hop in your Uncles Caddy and cruise. haha.

- And last but not least.. Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu, Michael Jackson, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and 90's R&B.  They made that "float away", "baby making" music that hit the soul. All of these artists are very influential to me.

  • 2. What was the first job you had and what did you learn from it?

- My first job, I was 15 years old. My Uncle got me in a tree removal/ tree trimming company. I was just a kid working with grown men. But they taught me how to bust my ass and hang with the big boys. Plus making a few hundred bucks a week. I thought I was ballin. Haha.  But it did teach me how to save money and not be afraid of hard work. Now a days these kids can't even start a damn lawnmower if there's no app for it. lol.

  • 3. 10 years ago, what were you doing and did you see yourself being who you are today?

- 10 years ago I was getting out of Elmwood. Producing music, living fast & careless, thinking my actions didn't affect my loved ones around me. My 20's were a bumpy ride. But now in my 30's, I'm the producer of a TV show on Comcast "HOGGTV", I have a beautiful wife & 4 kids that I dedicate my life too, and overall in a better situation. I don't think I could've predicted this outcome.

  • 4. What were some movies & tv shows amused you as a kid?

- TV Shows:  Martin, Double Dare, Yo MTV Raps, Def Comedy Jam, In Living Color, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, Married with Children.

- Movies: The Sandlot, Friday, Michael Jackson's - Moonwalker, Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas, Menace 2 Society.

  • 5. What kind of kid were you in elementary?

- I was a good student, but a Class Clown for sure. I liked making people laugh. My 4th grade teacher had to turn my desk around facing the back wall permanently. But that didn't stop me. lol. And I always for some reason got into a lot of fights. They weren't "my" fights most of the time. It was usually me standing up for smaller kids getting beat up. You could say I was a bullies bully. My favorite line to use was, "Why don't you pick on someone your own size?!"  Thought it sounded cool. Must've seen it on a movie. haha.

  • 6. If you could give yourself advice knowing what you know now, what would it be?

- Life is scary, get used to it. There are no magical fixes. It's all up to you. So get off your butt, travel the world, and start doing the footwork. Nothing in this world comes easy. So start now.
